Review: Godspeed On the Devil's Thunder

Godspeed on the Devil's thunder is an awesome album. However, it can never be better than its predecessors Nympthetamine and Midian, it is still to me quite a great work. Songs made on the concept of Gilles de Rai, Cradle of Filth produces their signature fast and heavy sound, which unlike the others, sound really good. Most of the songs start of with the thoughts of Gilles De Rai, and carry on with the song, giving the imagery of olden times and witchcraft, and the sort.

Songs like 'The Death of Love' carry a slow sound with extremely melodic guitars, sound extremely good. And songs like 'Honey and Sulphur' which has its own music video, takes a heavy and moderate speed, with tasty chords and progression.

Overall, This album is great. Keep up the kick ass work.

7/10
